The Crown Auction at Bonhams

If you have ever wanted to own a piece of royal television history then now is your chance. Bonhams is the place to see and bid for a piece of The Crown, the monumentally successful series chronicling the reign of Her Late Majesty The Queen.

Taking place on 7th February online and at the New Bond Street auction house, 6 seasons worth of props (large and small,) and a wide array of costumes are going under the hammer.

I had a chance to visit the exhibition of the items last week. A Sunday morning is the perfect time to visit- quiet, hardly any other guests and an uninterrupted view of the lots up for sale.

The very detailed auction catalogue makes for a fascinating browse, as well as behind the insights into how the series was made.

Here are are a few of my favourites. You can place bids online or in the usual ways on 7th February.
